The staff of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s annual student-run anime, sci-fi, and gaming convention, Genericon, regrets to announce that due to recent restrictions on the institute’s insurance policy, the band Uzuhi will not be allowed to play at this year’s con. We are terribly sorry for any inconvenience caused by this recent change of events. The good news is that Genericon is welcoming two new guests — Allkore and Antipode — to this year’s con.
Allkore is a collective of DJs and producers from around the world working together to spread the love of hardcore music across the globe. Established in the early spring of 2009 by SBZ and DJ Melancholia, Allkore began with the desire to create a worldwide, all-inclusive label geared towards fans of the “J-Core” scene of hardcore music.
Antipode is a geek belly dancing troupe hailing from State College, PA. Fusing the theatrics of acting with a mix of cosplay, pop-culture, and off beat humor Antipode brings the audience full geek entertainment.
